There are plenty of other restaurants in Portsmouth, too. For instance, you could check out the Sealevel Restaurant and Lounge at the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel, which is very comfortable and offers good food along with a nice environment. Alternatively, Chimichanga on the Boardwalk is a good Mexican restaurant. It’s also a really good restaurant for families, so if you have got kids and are unsure of where to take them, this could be a good place to try. It’s also just a short drive from the city centre and is near a cinema so could be good for an evening out.

If you are a fan of modern British cuisine, you could also take a drive out to nearby Southsea where you will find the Bistro Montparnasse. It does good food and is a pretty easy restaurant to find, making it ideal for first time visitors. Also in Southsea is popular Italian restaurant Sopranos. This restaurant is well-known for its good food and good prices, plus a wide range of Italian dishes so it’s a wonderful place to go and eat if you’re in the area. You could also head back to Gunwharf Quays and try out Raymond Blanc’s restaurant Brasserie Blanc. It does a good range of nice French food, plus a children’s menu so this is another place you can take the kids. There’s also plenty of choice on the wine list, which is sure to appeal to many.
